It’s 2020 and the theme of the year is 2020 vision. Having that perfect eyesight to envision the best of the best by improving whatever may need improvement. With every new year there are always trends that can better a business whether they may be in fashion, sports, or social media. Like always there are many new marketing trends this year. Three marketing trends that we see in fashion this year are collaborations, celebrity endorsements, and social media influencers.
What do these mean? I’m glad you asked! Collaborations are a big deal in the fashion industry and continue to grow every day. Instead of looking at other companies as competitors look at them as stepping stones. We see brands such as Nike collaborating with Public School New York in creating shoes that sell for hundreds of dollars. Collaborations bring in new business to both brands.
Alongside collaborations there are celebrity endorsements which has proven to be very effective because it is one of the biggest ways to get great product visibility. Brands like Gucci and Fenty have gone above and beyond by having celebrities like Rick Ross and Cardi B endorse their brand. These companies work this way to get exposure because consumers are more likely to purchase because their brand is trendy. Another trend is social media and as it grows we see that more people become social media influencers. Like celebrity endorsers, social media influencers also help gain visibility. Companies that follow these trends will have better visibility which can lead to better business in 2020.
