Though we might not all have a hazmat suite laying around in our closets there are other ways to protect ourselves from the unfortunate and unforeseen virus. I am here to share with you my top 5 essentials to surviving COVID-19. I hope you take notes.

1. Hand Sanitizer. Both my parents work in the hospital field so I’ve been lectured to death about keeping hand sanitizer on you at all times. If I’m being honest, I haven’t always listened but since the start of the pandemic, I’ve kept that thing on me. If you must go out and you aren’t close to a bathroom then use hand sanitizer.

2. Streaming Services. Whether you choose Netflix, YouTube TV, Hulu, or Disney+, take some time and catch up on your favorite shows. This does not mean become a couch potato. After a nice day of productivity, unwind and watch something you’ve been meaning to start. With Netflix party you can even watch it with friends or family who are also stuck in quarantine.

3. Exercise. I know we all miss the gym and it feels like we’ve lost the love of our lives. Trust me, I started paying a membership two days before the government shut all gyms down. Thank heavens they aren’t charging during this time. Though there are no facilities we can still do home workouts. Training with bodyweight still helps us get our body right and exercising can help keep us sane.

4. Music. I am in no way a musician or a singer but music is my escape. Listening to different genres or songs bring up different memories and travel through time. All we have is time so why not escape for a little and listen to something that makes us happy.

5. This last essential is probably the most important one. Stay at home! Being told what to do sucks and makes us want to leave even more but we must listen now.

These are just some essentials to keep your mind right. They aren’t the only essentials because you can also read a book, call family members and friends, or even pick up painting. We’ve got time so use it wisely

I liked reading this post. Even though I do most of the things you mentioned, it can help others who may be struggling or need motivation with finding something to do. Your last point is the most important and that's just to stay home.
